the thanksgiving coma

November 27, 2016 By sabrinazwang Leave a Comment

It’s been a looooong time, but I’ve been doing art!
I’m currently in the Thanksgiving Food Coma (TFC), having been stuffed full with rotis and Indian food and Jeni’s ice cream. (Although you can never go wrong with turkey and cranberry sauce and brussel sprouts and cornbread and pie…)
On another note, Catherine Kehoe came to my painting class for a masterclass, and we painted our hands (difficult) in her block-y style (also, difficult). She was a hilarious person, in your dead-pan, non-plussed manner, and very knowledgable about colour. Overall, it went well? I think I lost my way a little at the beginning, as this was a style I was not used to. Disclaimer on my hand, because it really does look slightly like Jabba the Hut’s second tentacle in real life. I also might have misplaced my palette knife somewhere in this week of food, and am slightly devastated. Definitely didn’t eat it, that’s for sure. Fairly certain I would’ve noticed. Fairly.
A new infographic about hernias is up as well. Did you know, babies can get hernias too? (I didn’t. The things you learn.)
