In an earlier post, I mentioned the project that I was working on was called 1000 F***ing Heads. It’s actually an art challenge I decided to participate in back when I was a wee babe foolish to think that I would actually accomplish this in some reasonable amount of time, but since I am more stubborn than the gum on a shoe’s sole, I’m “still working on it.”
Here it is, in all its empty glory:
I know, I know. November 23, 2014??! But I have actual, founded justifications! Just how exactly constitutes a “head”? Do I paint it? Do sketches count? Do classes count? Because if they do, I can fill it up waaaaay up.
Also, this rainbow food trend has got to go, i.e., rainbow bagels. If I want a sesame seed bagel lathered in scallion cream cheese, I don’t feel particularly inclined to have unicorn poop-dough staring back at me. Or maybe I should stop my endless Facebook scrolling. But that might be too much to ask.
Edit Dec 2016: My mother just called me, horrified, to ask if “are you really going to draw 1000 heads, Sabrina? When? How?? But why???” I reassured her that I still had some marbles by pointing to the really, really, early start date.
