Inktober week 3! This is the week when people start straying from the sketches. It’s hard to draw and plan a sketch a day when you have other commitments that take precedence.
My computer screen has been having a weird two days – there are odd highlights of “physics physics physics” “predict” “PHYSICS” scattered permanently over the screen, and I’m not sure where they came from. (I’m guessing they are residual word searches that never cleared away.) I’m sure the problem will be fixed if I restart my computer, but I haven’t gotten to that part yet. Not when there’s so much stuff to look at. Like the new Star Wars trailer. Or the fact that season 2 of Stranger Things is coming in less than a week. Or my obsessive rewatching of Binging With Babish on YouTube.
TV season is on.
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to post Game of Thrones quotes in the culture hoods in my lab — really, it started because one specific hood was broken and the sign said, “Please don’t turn this off!!” to which the only appropriate response had to be, “You know nothing, Jon Snow.” In red Sharpie. And that got the ball rolling, so I decided to plaster quotes all over the hoods and thought I was so clever and so anonymous, and when I came in the next week, everyone asked, “That was you, wasn’t it?” To which I responded with, “What? What do you mean?”
Apparently, it’s something only I would do.
Except for one person. He had (mostly) no clue it was me. (You’re the best, Brad.)
Anyway. Some of my favourite sketches from this week below, as usual. Thought you guys might appreciate some in-progress shots too!
Caption-heavy, because I love that Subtext Lyfe Lite™. (Lite!!.)
